ReorganizingFor decades, Yale's library has been divided between the Library of Congress system and the university’s own method of classification (which the Yale Library Gazette described in 1953 as “mysterious and baffling to readers and staff alike”). As we speak, though, the staff is converting the Sterling stacks to the Library of Congress system, which involves moving a whole bunch of books.
