School of architecture

New summer programs

The School of Architecture is offering two new summer programs for master of architecture students, in addition to the existing Robert A. M. Stern Rome Program for drawing and an urban design program in Gothenburg, Sweden. The first of the new courses, taught by Tatiana Bilbao, examines the design, construction, and legal requirements of housing, and takes place in Mexico City. For the second, students will travel to London to study the architecture of museums, the design of exhibitions and installations, and methods of architectural curation.

Dean Deborah Berke has been awarded the 2022 AIA/ASCA Topaz Medallion for Architectural Education, the highest honor for teaching in architecture. The award recognizes service to the profession, academy, and society. Additionally, this year Dean Berke will be inducted to the American Academy of Arts and Letters, an honor society of the country’s leading architects, artists, composers, and writers.
